Abstract

The Central Bohemian Basin was evaluated as a potential carbon dioxide storage site. Based on available archive and newly acquired data, a 3D reservoir model of the basin was constructed, and a simulation of C02 injection was performed using a selected part of the model. The results show the structure being at the edge of suitability for C02 storage, especially due to relatively low rock permeability. Further research will be needed to make a well-based final decision upon this topic.
