Abstract

A report on revision of the Cenomanian and Turonian decapod collection (infraorder Brachyura Latreille, 1802) from the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin (BCB). Infraorder Brachyura is represented by seven genera, each by a single species, in the BCB. Only two genera are known from the Cenomanian orTuronian in the BCB - Necrocarcinus Bell, 1863 and Graptocarcinus Roemer, 1887. The occurrence of Necrocarcinus is represented only by two cephalothoraxes from the Middle Turonian sediments distributed in Mladá Boleslav and Česká Třebová vicinities. Graptocarcinus is represented by two specimens of cephalothorax from the Lower Turonian in Kamajka near Chotusice, two isolated claws from the Upper Cenomanian in Chrtníky, one dactyl from the Upper Cenomanian in Velim (western part of the quarry - "pocket Veronika"), nine dactyls from Upper Cenomanian in Předboj and by many isolated claws (mainly dactyls) of first pair of pereiopods from the Lower Turonian sediments in nearshore/shalow water facies Kamajka near Chotusice, Chrtníky and Velim (western part of the quarry - "pocket Václav").
