Abstract

Palaeotaxodonta is an important group of bivalves. The genera Praeleda and Praenucula belonging to this taxon were established on Bohemian material. Praeleda is considered to be evolutionary important genus, however Praeleda is very similar to Praenucula and the modern revision of both genera is necessary. The type species of Praeleda and Praenucula are discussed in this paper.
