Abstract

New sampling in the uppermost layer ("Perník Bed") of the Králův Dvůr Formation (late Katian) observed the moderate diversity of the bryozoans, with encrusting, massive and delicate ramose types. Fragmentation, preservation as internal moulds and less numerous collection prevent more extensive taxonomic evaluation of the bryozoan fauna, but six morphological types of zoaria have been distinguished; two of them are referred to Graptodictya and Corynotrypa. Bryozoan diversity is the evidence ofthe rich bryozoan-brachiopod-pelmatozoan fauna in the now unpreserved marginal parts of the Prague basin in the upper Katian.
