Abstract

Analysis of rockfall spatial distribution by means of dendrogemorphology is a relatively new problem in Czech Republic. Two representative localities were chosen for case analysis in the Moravskoslezské Beskydy Mts. The research was carried out using inventarization of visible tree damage, and sampling of trees by increment borer for scars dating. The results show significant differences between rockfall activities on studied localities. Simultaneously, the highest rockfall activity was detected nearby rock-wall.
