Abstract

The České středohoří Mts. represents the region with high susceptibility to various types of landslides. The current advance in landslide and rockfall mapping and analyses in the region is supported with valuable data about historical occurrences of these events, evaluating both the spatial and temporal patterns of their distribution. The present paper draws upon a detailed review of the regional newspaper Aussiger Anzeiger from years 1856-1902. The dataset of 21 landslides from 13 localities within the České středohoří Mts. and its surrounding is described. The relationship of landslides types and triggering factors is also discussed.
