Abstract

The complex radon information for administrative units is based on the joined database of recently available soil gas radon data, indoor radon data and gammadose rate data, gathered during Action Plan of Radon Programme of the Czech Republic. Data are statistically aggregated within the cadastres and georeferenced to centroids of municipalities. At present, the selection of particular database items for public web presentation is under the discussion of the Czech Geological Survey and the State Office for Nuclear Safety. The resulting list of selected items will be presented in the form of separate window for each municipal centroid using the map background of Actualised radon index maps 1 : 50 000 in the ArcGIS Viewer for Flex web application. The summarized radon information will be targeted to public, local municipal authorities and state bodies, whose common aim is an active and effective decreasing of natural radiation exposure from radon.
