Abstract

New mapping borehole was drilled in the Libuňka River valley in the area of the Bohemian Paradise (North Bohemia). According to biostratigraphic analysis of macrofauna, foraminifera and calcareous nannoplankton, marlstones in the borehole were regarded to Upper Turonian of the Teplice Formation. Marlstones are separated from adjacent sandstone body by Libuňka Fault, which is also indicated by basaltic intrusions. Libuňka Fault is a part of the Lužice Fault Zone, a prominent tectonic structure of the Bohemian Massif
