Hydraulic conductivity of granites in the Bohemian Massif – comparison of a detailed and a regional scale
Abstract
A hydrogeological study of hydraulic properties of granites and of a scale effect was carried out in the Bohemian Massif. A large heterogeneity of the fractured granites is manifested by a wide range of determined coefficients of hydraulic conductivity from 10-11 to 10-4 m.s-1. The results show a decreasing trend of the hydraulic conductivity with a depth. Detailed tests illustrate actual hydraulic conductivities of a heterogeneous rock environment, but they affect only a small aquifer volume. Regional data from pumping tests provide average hydraulic properties over larges aquifer volumes, but the wells are generally located in the most productive areas with high hydraulic conductivities.
