Abstract

The area of interest was the Stráž block situated in the north-east part of the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin. This region was affected by uranium mining in the past, underground mining and the chemical leaching "in situ" were executed. All the area is largely tectonically broken. On many places it could cause an interaction between the aquifers. This work solves problems of the Stráž block area called "The foreground of the Stráž deposit". On the basis of the analysis of the well log curves from the 141 holes there was founded 4 lines with the vertical movement. This movement could mean the risk for the overflow of the contaminated groundwater to the fresh water.
