Abstract

Three varieties of only slightly peraluminous biotite-bearing granitoids were found near the Triple-Point of the Czech Republic, Austria, and Germany borders in southern Moldanubian zone of the Bohemian Massif. The fine-grained biotite granodiorite, coarse-grained porphyritic Weinsberg granite and the medium-grained biotite granite are supposed to be members of one Variscan intrusive suite. Similar mineralogical and chemical compositions of all three granite types support the hypothesis that all rock originated via fractional crystallization from the same parental magma.
