Abstract

Within the frame of the project of the Czech Geological Survey "Mining Environmental Impact", proceed the detailed geochemical investigation of the behaviour of the selected heavy metals in the two different types of waste waters from old mine works near of Ratibořské Hory in the South Bohemian Region. The first typ water represents the waste water with bacterial reduction of sulphate, short of Fe-oxyhydroxide, this water origin from adit collar St. Kateřina. The other origin from adit St. Michael, represents water with coprecipitated Fe-oxyhydroxide. The amounts of heavy metals and other geochemical parameters were measured in the waste waters, stream sediments and colected soil samples.
