Abstract

Geological, geochemical and palaeoecological study of Quaternary sediments was conducted in connection with the geological mapping of the map sheet 13-132 Lysá nad Labem. Fluvial and aeolian sediments are developed (Middle Pleistocene-Holocene) along the valley of the Labe River. Mass-movement, run-off and organic sediments are also present. The organic sediments containing palynological and palaeoalgological assemblages indicate the Late Glacial (15 000-10 250 BP) and the Holocene (10 250 BP-recent) ages.
