Abstract

Cretaceous sediments in the N to E surroundings of the town Chotěboř form a part of the Long Balk structure of the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin. The Peruc Member, Korycany Member, Bílá hora Formation and Jizera Formation were verified. According to lithofacies division these sediments belong to Orlice-Žďár Development. The Železné hory Mts. (Iron Mountains) fault represents the main tectonic structure of the region.
