Abstract

Buried and fossil soils marking breaks in volcanic activity occur in the vicinity of León, Malpaisillo, La Paz Centro and on the slopes of Telica volcano within the pyroclastic sequences. The Braunlehm and Rotlehm (Andosols) types in situ and redeposited soil sediments were identified by micromorphological analyses.
