Abstract

Biotite and sillimanite-biotite paragneisses from the area between Čechtice and Jihlava originated by regional metamorphosis of claystones and greywackes. The origin by alteration of greywackes is characteristic mainly for quartzitic paragneisses. Distributions of trace elements (REE, Sr, Ti, Sc, Ni) indicate that acid calc-alkaline igneous rocks dominated in the source area of original sediments.
