Abstract

Three localities in Jičín area ahev been volcanologically investigated in the last year. The Zebín hill is the rest of a Hawaiian fissure eruption with well-preserved spatter with Cretaceous sedimentary xenoliths. The Kumburk hill is probably the rest of the sill intrusion or lava lake. The last one, Čeřovka hill, is an elevation composed predominantly of Cretaceous porcelanites with several thin dykes.
