Abstract

The aeolian sands overlying the Upper Pleistocene fluvial sandy gravel in the valley of both Morava and Dyje Rivers are typical for their confluence area. The characteristic dunes are dated to Late Glacial and has been proved the existence of Mesolithic to Slavonic settlements was evidenced. Aeolian and fluvial sediments were characterised by means of grain-size analyses.
