Abstract

On the map at 1 : 25 000 scale, sheet 22-124 Rožmitál pod Třemšínem Quaternary sediments are mainly represented by Pleistocene-Holocene colluvial deposit. They mostly comprise angular rock fragments with loamy matrix. Some of them have a clast supported structure. Maximum proved thickness of these sediments reaches 10 to 19 m. Small relics of Pleistocene fluvial terraces of the Skalice stream are exposed exceptionally, being mostly overlain by colluvial sediments. Their stratigraphical classification is not clcar at present. The thickness of the lithologically varied Holocene fluvial sediments ranges from 4.5 to 10.0 m.
