Abstract
Animal bones from the Dolní Věstonice III site were studied. This site was discovered in 1969 and opened again in 1993-1995. This site consists of wto settlement units. The animal bones of both units were studied together. A number of bones from mammoth, wolf, horse and rhinoceros was excavated. The bones were spread uniformly all over the site. According to the composition of the fauna this locality was settled in cold conditions.
