Abstract

During the geological prospection in the Intrasudetic Basin, north-west of Žacléř, fossiliferous layers of the Lampertice Member have been uncovered. The exposed 9th, the 10th and the 11th coal seams have been described in detailed geological sections. Coal measures contain a number of intercalations. Dull banded coal mostly contains layers of the vitrain up to 50 mm in thickness. A co-occurrence of Paripteris gigantea (STERNB.) Goth. 195 and Lonchopteris rugosa Biong. 1835 proves the Duckmantian Stage /Wesphalian B/ (ŠETLÍK in TÁSLER a kol 1979).
