The southern part of the hydrogeological boundary between the Vysoké Mýto syncline and the Ústí syncline
Abstract
The Cretaceous Potštejn anticline has an essential role as the hydrogeological boundary between two important structures - the Vysoké Mýto syncline and the Ústí syncline. The Potštejn anticline is predisponed by the crystalline Stašov ridge, which influenced sedimentary conditions in different parts of eastern margin of the Cretaceous sedimentary basin. According to the position of the axial depression near the village of Mikuleč and the average groundwater level, there exists a hydraulic connection between B and C aquifers of the Vysoké Mýto syncline and the Ústí syncline. The Semanín fault modifies infiltration conditions in the eastern limb of the Potštejn anticline.
