Land use planning

Task of the State Geological Survey (SGS), carried out as authorized by the Ministry of the Environment (MoE):

- Provision of territorial data according to Act No. 183/2006, on land-use planning and the building code (Building Act). If requested, land-use planning authorities are provided with updated digital files of land-use analysis documents. The files contain data on reserved mineral deposits, prognostic mineral resources, protected deposit areas, protected areas with specific underground facilities, mining leases, abandoned mine lands and underground mines.
Comprehensive assessment of land development and land-use plans with respect to areas with specific geological structures by virtue of Act No. 62/1988, on geological work (Geological Act), and Act No. 44/1988, 2. on the protection and use mineral resources (Mining Act), in cases affecting reserved deposits (including relevant protected deposit areas), which are safeguarded and inventoried by the Czech Geological Survey (CGS). The CGS provides information on the results of geological projects, which may affect the processing of land-use plans by virtue of Act No. 62/1988, on geological work, and Act No. 123/1998, on the right to information on the environment. The information is presented in the form of: - thematic maps of protected deposit areas and abandoned mine lands
