For analysis of traditional radiogenic isotopes (Sr, Nd, Os) in geological materials the CGS is equipped by a mass spectrometer with thermal ionization from the solid state (Thermo Fisher Triton Plus). Sample preparation for majority of analyses is going on in a specialized Ultratrace laboratory (USL), where the maximal accent is put on an elimination of contamination. Laboratory carries out its own research activity which is focused mainly on the questions of igneous rocks genesis. Besides, there is solved isotope problematic in a number of interdisciplinary projects, and chosen isotope analyses can be done also in a form of commercial commission.
