Science and research

The research activity of the Czech Geological Survey has been going on since 2012, in accordance with the approved Strategic Plan of the CGS Research for 2012–2015, by means of projects investigation both at national and international level.

The project owners and finance providers are the constituent ministries of the Czech Republic (Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of the Environment, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, Ministry of Regional Development), together with the Grant Agency of the CR and the Technology Agency of the CR.

Recently, the research activity of the Czech Geological Survey has come to the fore within the frame of the wide international cooperation, including bilateral agreements, the 7th Framework Programme of the EU, the EHP and the Norwegian Financial Mechanisms, Operational Programme Environment or Operational Programme Crossborder cooperation.

The research activity of the Czech Geological Survey takes place also through investigation of internal research projects.
