Geology for all
Popularization of the Earth Sciences and sharing the results of geological research with the public is one of the priorities of the Czech Geological Survey. Throughout the existence of the CGS, its staff have endeavoured to improve our understanding of geological evolution and the Earth’s resources by geological mapping and research. More recently, with the advent of our information-based society and innovations in publication, it has been possible to communicate knowledge in understandable and eye-catching formats to everyone with an interest in the natural processes that affect us. Public outreach by the CGS embraces the professional community and the public alike, ranging from school children, students and parents to tourists and pensioners.
