In the frame of activities of the state geological survey, the Czech Geological Survey collects, acquires, stores, and assesses data about the geological composition of the state territory and provides it to the state authorities of different level. The CGS conveys regional geological data and information also to the professional and lay public. The long-term management and development of the Geological Information System belongs to the crucial objectives of the Czech Geological Survey.

Information services related to providing of data

Beside free of charge information services of free accessible data on the CGS Information Portal or the CGS Map Server vector data from geodatabases, raster data from digital archive, excerpts of analytical and non-analytical data can be ordered.
