The Czech Geological Survey has issued a press release reporting about implementation of the Czech-Norwegian project CO2– SPICER (CO2 Storage Pilot In a CarbonatE Reservoir). Its main goal is to prepare a pilot CO₂ storage site in a depleting oil and gas field in the southeast of Moravia. At the same time, a model example for realization of further CO₂ storage sites both in the Czech Republic and in Europe will be created.
