Please, distribute this invitation to your colleagues, in order to promote high attendance and scientific level of the meeting.

Presentations

The conference language is English.

Oral presentations will be limited to15 minutes and 5 minutes for discussion. PowerPoint projectors will be installed. A slide projector and overhead projector will also be available (please indicate this request upon registration).

Poster format will be 100 cm x 70 cm.

Traditionally, we highlight poster sessions as a ground for ample scientific discussions, therefore, we encourage you to consider this option. The Organizing Committee will select oral presentations and will shift some presentations to the poster sessions. One author will be allowed maximum one oral presentation. The number of poster presentations is not limited.

Field trips

Pre-conference field trip, April 11, will be led by: A. Špičák (GFÚ AV ČR), H. Kämpf (GFZ Potsdam), F. Weinlich (GFÚ AV ČR), P. Hradecký (ČGS). The excursion will provide an insight into the most pronounced manifestations of recent dynamics in the western part of the Bohemian Massif: seismicity (seismic and tilt monitoring; Skalná), emissions of mantle gases (CO2, 3He; Hájek/Soos natural reserve) and Quaternary volcanism (Železná Hůrka/Eisenbühl volcano). Relationships to the evolution of the Eger Rift region will be discussed.

Post-conference field trip, April 14, will be led by V. Štědrá, S. Vrána and J. Konopásek (CGS). The excursion will be devoted to petrology and structural setting of eclogites, gabbroids, granulites, ultrabasics and medium-pressure metamorphics in the Marianské Lázně (Marienbad) Complex and their relations to surrounding units formed by the Teplá Plateau Crystalline Complex, Kladská Unit, Saxothuringian and Moldanubian.

Please, note that you have to register separately for the field trips.
